Paediatric physiotherapy
Working with you and your child to reach their full potential
As a parent, are you fed up with long NHS waiting lists and would like to have your child assessed, diagnosed and treated more quickly?
Our paediatric physio Laura qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 and worked in the NHS for over fifteen years, initially with adults but then specialising in paediatric physiotherapy in 2013.
Continuing her specialism as a paediatric physio, Laura is experienced in working with children between 0-19 years of age with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological and neuromuscular conditions as well as children with co-ordination difficulties and developmental delay.
An initial assessment with Laura in the safe setting of the clinic, will last up to one hour with Laura asking a number of questions to take a thorough case and developmental history, as well as carrying out a range of physical assessments with your child.
Following this first appointment, a treatment plan will be developed jointly with Laura which may target areas such as:
- managing pain
- postural awareness
- rehabilitation after injury
- improving core stability
It may also focus on areas such as working on gross motor skills in line with developmental milestones and balance and co-ordination activities.
